MISSION STATEMENT
The World Economic Inclusion Forum (WEIF), driven by a shared vision of a prosperous and just global society, hereby declare our unwavering commitment to fostering a significantly more inclusive and equitable global economy. This commitment stems from a deep understanding that widespread economic exclusion not only hinders individual potential and societal progress but also undermines global stability and shared prosperity.
The mission of the WEIF is multifaceted and deeply rooted in addressing systemic barriers to economic participation:
-
Promote inclusive economic growth and development around the world: This involves actively working to create economic opportunities that benefit all individuals and communities, regardless of their background, location, or circumstances. This includes advocating for sustainable development practices, fostering entrepreneurship, and supporting the growth of diverse and resilient economies in all regions. We aim to move beyond traditional metrics of economic success to embrace indicators that reflect genuine inclusivity and well-being.
-
Identify and address the root causes of economic exclusion: Economic exclusion is often the result of complex and interconnected factors, including historical injustices, discriminatory practices, lack of access to essential resources like education, healthcare, and financial services, and systemic biases within economic and political structures. The WEIF is dedicated to conducting rigorous research, fostering dialogue, and engaging with diverse stakeholders to understand these root causes and develop targeted strategies for their elimination.
-
Develop and implement innovative solutions to economic inequality: Recognizing that traditional approaches may not be sufficient to address the scale and complexity of economic inequality, the WEIF will actively seek out, develop, and support the implementation of novel and transformative solutions. This includes leveraging technology, promoting social innovation, fostering public-private partnerships, and supporting community-led initiatives that have the potential to create meaningful and lasting change.
-
Empower individuals and communities to participate fully in the economic life of their communities: True economic inclusion requires that individuals and communities have the agency, skills, and resources necessary to actively shape their economic futures. The WEIF is committed to empowering marginalized groups through education and training programs, access to capital and markets, and the strengthening of local economic ecosystems. We believe in fostering participatory approaches that ensure that economic development is driven by the needs and aspirations of the people it is intended to serve.
-
Advocate for policies and practices that promote economic inclusion at all levels: Achieving a more inclusive global economy requires systemic change driven by supportive policies and equitable practices at local, national, and international levels. The WEIF will actively engage with policymakers, business leaders, civil society organizations, and international institutions to advocate for policy reforms that promote fair labor practices, equitable resource distribution, inclusive financial systems, and the elimination of discriminatory barriers to economic participation. We will work to foster a global environment where economic inclusion is recognized as a fundamental principle and a driver of sustainable development.
